Born in Lucca Italy Italo Fontana was very interested in design and creativity. His venture into time pieces was part of his grandfather’s experience, Ilvo Fontana who was commissioned by the Italian government to design time pieces for the pilots of the Italian navy. He had to ensure the time pieces were large enough for pilots to instantly read the time in all conditions. Unfortunately this project did not materialize until it was reborn in the year 2000. Now perfected we celebrate the design ingenuity which is U-boat & Welder. The Welder K24 3200 has a Quartz Miyota OS10 movement, case made of AISI 316L steel, superimposed black dial, arabic numerals & luminous spheres and index. Comes with a rubber & leather strap and the diameter of the case is 48mm, 60mm with crown. It has a deployment-buckle and the watch comes with a manufaturers warranty
